Q&A on General

What does "registered name" mean?

A registered name is name that we are legally required to display. Specifically, it is the name used, or the name for which official notice was submitted, when product approval was granted under the Act on Securing Quality, Efficacy and Safety of Products Including Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices.

When making an inquiry about product ingredients or reading ingredient lists on our website, be sure to use the registered name displayed on the product.

  • Quasi-drugs are marked as such, and will display a registered name separately from the product name. Many registered names use alphabetical symbols as suffixes.
  • In the case of cosmetics, the product name is the registered name. Many registered name use alphabetical symbols as suffixes.
