Share and Practice of Mandom Group’s Mission
Concept
The Mandom Group has set “Human Assets” as one of its Mission principles, on which its HR mission, “Happy
individuals make a happy company,” is based. Since its founding, the Group has regarded each and every
employee as an asset to the Group and has long been making various investments in its employees (human
assets). For this reason, the Mandom Group's long-standing efforts regarding human assets are part of the
Mandom Principle practices which are linked to the Mandom Mission, the foundation of the Mandom Group.
Based on this approach, the Mandom Group introduced the Mandom Survey in 2017 to measure the “degree to which
employees understand and practice the Mandom Mission,” which serves as the foundation of its HR initiatives, and
the “employee engagement” that results from that.
By addressing the various issues identified from the survey results, we aim to promote a deeper understanding
and empathy among employees towards the Mandom Mission and improve employee engagement.
Mission Co-creation Workshops
To foster a shared understanding and commitment to our corporate mission and slogan across the organization,
the Mandom Group appoints "Evangelists" within each organization. These Evangelists play a key role in
championing the mission within their respective teams. Through continuous training and support for both
newly appointed and existing Evangelists, we are building an environment where mission -based education is
actively practiced at every level of the organization.
In Japan, we hold a mission workshop for all first-year employees, bringing together new graduates and mid-career
hires. Through open discussions and exchanges of ideas, participants deepen their understanding of our corporate
mission and slogan, and explore the concrete actions each individual can take to realize consumers achieve their
own "BE ANYTHING, BE EVERYTHING." This process helps cultivate a genuine connection to our mission and encourages
employees to put it into practice in their everyday work.
We have also extended these efforts to our overseas group companies. At each location, local staff take the lead
in organizing workshops and educational activities tailored to their regional context, promoting a shared understanding
of the values at the heart of the Mandom Group. Through these global initiatives, we are laying the foundation
for every employee across the Group to embody our mission in action, driving sustainable growth in corporate value.
