Q&A on General

A freight carrier told me I need to submit a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) to ship the product. What’s an SDS? Can you issue me one?

Yes, we can send it to you by e-mail, fax, or postal mail. Please submit your request below.

We can provide Safety Data Sheets for our products. These help ensure safe and proper use of (chemical) products by listing the substances contained in the pertinent items, as well as information about hazards, handling instructions, and information on environmental impact.

We previously issued these under the name Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), but changed to Safety Data Sheet (SDS) starting with those issued in October 2013. Only the name has changed; the contents remain the same.

*SDSs were general called Material Safety Data Sheets in Japan until FY2011. The name was changed to Safety Data Sheet in Japanese Industrial Standards and Japanese government agencies documentation for greater consistency with international conventions.
