Q&A on Effects

Why didn’t the hair dyeing product result in the color I wanted?

The condition of your hair before dyeing affects the coloration, and may result in a different color than indicated on the box.
There are a variety of causes for this, including higher pigment (melanin) levels than normal in black hair, remaining color from previous dyeing, and damaged hair. In cases like these, the hair dyeing product is unlikely to result in the color you desire, even after multiple applications.

For solutions to these issues, please contact the Mandom Customer Relations Division. At that time, our representative will ask you about the color of the product you used and the condition and color of your hair before dyeing.
